World of Film International Festival is looking for an Audio-visual Technical Support Assistant to join their 2022  festival team. As an Audio-visual Technical Support Specialist, you will:

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in film, and ideally have previous work experience in a similar role.

You should be self-motivated and able to organise your own workload, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in either Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is essential, as is in-depth knowledge of technical specifications and video formats. 

Ability to identify and fix technical problems as they arise is essential.

Confidence in using/adjusting movie projectors of any type is desired.

Knowledge of or interest in the local festival circuit would be beneficial.

Please note that the person must be present at all screenings at all times in order to invigilate and maintain smooth running of the screenings. 

 

Details 

Start date: Candidates will be expected to start in late October. Hours will be part-time in the week leading up to the festival and full-time during the festival (3rd – 6th November 2022).

Location: Remote before the festival, Glasgow based during the festival (pending guidance from local authorities).

Salary: A minimum of 30 hours at £11/hour. Please note that the role is offered on self-employment basis so the candidate is responsible for their tax liabilities.
