This year’s summer BFI FAN programme explores everything obsession. And what can be more relevant than Xavier Dolan’s obsessive passions about troubled mother-son relationships, unfulfilled desires, queer references, 80s and 90s pop culture and music, just to name a few.
With Dolan’s latest film Matthias & Maxime coming out soon, we will take you back to his enfant terrible days, when he was just introducing us to his unique way of seeing the world.
On the evening of August 8, join us at Kinning Park Complex, following their Thursday Community Meal at 6 pm, for a screening of Heartbeats, accompanied by a discussion on Xavier Dolan’s obsessions.
